New Interface

Well yeah, I'm no god at MSPaint or anything. But it's more just to show the idea. One box on one side with all the links, another box streaming the TV, another box with your stats.

Regrettably, I agree with the people in this topic.

I don't mind the menu being kept around. But I think a few links -- at least Play and Training, could be kept.

I reckoned from the first design draft that the new menu works better as a COMPLEMENT to static links as opposed to replacing them altogether. I'm glad to see the footer go though, it was causing Clarkey a lot of grief. :)

I am sure it is a well meant change. However, the new interface adds one extra click to get somewhere and I don't see anything to gain from it. It doesn't make this site more useable to me.

At first i liked the new interface, but after reading this thread im convinced that a better solution exists.
but lets not forget to thank the lichess team for their incredible work and effort :)

I use space bar to scroll and this update complete subverts that. Also, it would be nice to once again have the choice of color when starting games on the mobile app, which disappeared with the most recent update.

Before the update, there were these pages lichess.org/games (showing 9 current games between players with a high rating) and lichess.org/games/all (showing all current games). Now these links don't work any more.
Is there any way to watch live games now aside from that one bullet / blitz game featured on lichess TV?

_____There ARE a number of basic/ 'inconvenient' flaws in your well-intentioned (non-user tested?) change. Why not pull it and rework it ?? [2 screens to sign-in!! ]

I think it's a cool change but it is kind of confusing (maybe because we aren't used to). However it would be grat if the Lichess programming team allow the users to select whatever menu they want. I also think it would be great if you can mark videos as "seen" or something like that.
