Mars Colonization to Resume

Due to a dust storm earlier this month, all messages from the mars colony on Arabia Terra was cut off. Due to this reason as well, nobody was able land down for an entire month. The dust storm eventually did clear out, but as a result, the software shut down and mapping tools were lost (in reality, I just couldn't find an alternative to ms paint but you know what, we don't talk about that). However, computer systems have been revived in other parts of the colony (other than the life-support area, which has been working for a while because it needs to be shielded) and farming should restart in the next week or so.
Mars colonization will, from that point, continue as planned. The first superspeed rockets in the last month have been launched and they should arrive on Mars with more supplies and people in a few days. Until then, the only map of Mars we have is this one:

First Light at McMurdo

In McMurdo, Antarctica, a research station on the coast of Antarctica a bit west of Ice Harbor, slight bits of light have started peeking out, as the end of nautical polar night approaches. The sun is still 9 degrees below the horizon, so no full daylight is expected, but some navy blue has been visible in the northern horizon for a while now. Here is an image from McMurdo taken a day ago, where you can see the little bit of daylight there.

Komoki Spotted

The search for @komoki came to a head when apparently, @komoki was spotted in ROTKP, led by President Komokid. The person who reported this, kept anonymous as per their request, said that they were driving to Ice Harbor, on the other side of Antarctica and had stopped at Komodo Restaurant and Bar at Wesley City, about 300 miles from Port Komokid.

They met someone while having a drink at the bar, who introduced themselves as komoki and supposedly logged onto komoki's lichess account on invisible mode (an obscure hack that lets you get onto lichess without being shown as online). They had a conversation and right as the person who reported this took a final sip of his beer, komoki just vanished. We interviewed that person (interviewer was the well-known Scorpian Erif) and here's what we got:

Erif: How exactly did you spot komoki?
Person A: I spotted komoki while uh... having a sip of my favorite beer at the bar. I had just finished a long day of travel and planned to rest at a nearby hotel. He came and talked to me for a short bit because we happened to sit next to each other.
Erif: And what did you all talk about?
Person A: Well... mainly about the Russia vs Ukraine war, which we started with because I was reading an article about that on my google news feed. We talked about how foolish it is, and if Russia was going to win, and gradually changed topics to something else. We went on to talk about the weather (which was pretty bad in Wesley City due to the 70 mph wind), and then just a bunch of other random stuff. Ofc we introduced ourselves first.
Erif: And what about the disappearance you talked about?
Person A: Well, I was talking about letting everyone know about komoki, then had a sip of beer, and when I turned back, he disappeared. Maybe he didn't want everyone to know. And someone also told me that the area I was sitting in was a gap in the surveillance of the restaurant. And komoki had a hood on the entire time.

While there are suspicions of drunkenness, Person A, as we shall call the person who reported komoki for the sake of anonymity, only drank 1 glass of beer, and that was it. Furthermore, they drove here without incidents, indicating that they weren't drunk or hallucinating. Indeed, komoki may have been spotted.
The mystery continues!

Oh and also, here is an insane chess game played by komoki that will give you partly an idea of why he's famous:

The insane king sacrifice, 17. Nh4!! won the game.
