I have this amd 6870 card:

The new monitor I got:

Is a Acer XG270HU 27" 2560x1440 at 144hz refresh rate.

My problem is it does full 2560x1440 resolution, but only at 60hz. Also there are lots of flickering green pixels like it's semi-glitching out. I think I just need to get a new GPU like GTX 1060 AND/OR a displayport cable. Most likely both, because I've heard some people doing 1440 at not 144hz but 120hz on my card. Others can run this monitor, and other people cant.

My GPU doesn't have a displayport, so I'm just using DL DVI-D cable. I tried 2 DVI D cables, and also HDMI, and HDMI to the mini-displayport adapter.

Also, I wanna say the green pixels started the 1st minute operating it. I tried changing it from 60hz to 75hz (the max in catalyst control center) and that's when the glitchy green pixels started permanently. The pixels arent burnt in; if you move black window around pixels move with it.

It works at 1920x1080 60hz, but looks blurry. No green glitchy pixels. Ofc, this is a no go.
