Is blindfold mode gone?

I'm only interested in playing blindfold chess on this account and I used to have it enabled. Now, I just went into preferences, and even though I'm not wearing an actual blindfold, I kinda feel like I am because I can't find the "Enable blindfold mode" setting for the life of me. Did they really disable this and if yes WHY?

Much appreciated. I'll leave the post up for now since someone else might have the same question, but mods please do feel free to delete if you see it fit.

So, I have to re-activate it before every single game now? And hope my opponent does not abort the game in the meantime? (Which does happen quite frequently at my blindfold account's rating level...)

Correct.

And this, more or less, rules out the possibility of playing bullet or ultrabullet blindfold, since players playing such time controls don't wish to be held up waiting for players to change settings.

And yes, some players are capable of playing bullet or ultrabullet blindfold e.g. GM Andrew Tang.

I guess they really want people playing normal sighted chess.
