Aimchess US Rapid is the 9th event of the Champions Chess Tour 2021. The preliminaries stage is a single round-robin stage and features 16 players. The first 3 days are prelims in which each player plays round-robin style against the other players. The top 8 advance to the finals, which consist of two days of quarterfinals, two days of semifinals and then two days of finals.

Time control is 15 minutes for the whole game with a 10-second increment from move one.
