I played this B sac on instinct. It turned out to be a good sac as it brings the K out.
@Grecchi80 , I don't mean to be rude, but the sac was not a good move. You got lucky that your opponent took back with the wrong pawn on move 8. dxc6 wins for black.
Actually after Qxd4 instead of nxd5 this is playable.
Umm. Then how does B respond to 9. Bg5. ? Pretty much still wins. Nerd...
After 8.dxc6 it seems to me you're basically a piece down and either you drop back with the queen to c3 or to e3 and either way, opponent plays kf7 and all is "good" in their world...
#4
9…Nf6
9…Nf6
@Grecchi80 after dxc6, bg5 is met with Nf6 and there is no e5 due to the fact that your queen is hanging.
QXQ then e5 wins back the piece
@Grecchi80 No, there is h6. Sorry for my previous message it made no sense.
All looks rather dubious in real play...but fun in blitz.
